Astrological Counseling

“My evenings are taken up very largely with astrology. I make horoscopic calculations in order to find a clue to the core of psychological truth. Some remarkable things have turned up which will certainly appear incredible to you.”

~Carl Jung in a letter to Sigmund Freud (June 12, 1911)

Astrological Counseling

I offer astrological counseling for psycho-spiritual exploration, understanding, and transformation. Astrology utilized in this way can be a missing key for deep inner work and can shed light on the path towards greater harmony with the natural rhythms and cycles of one’s life journey. My approach to astrology is to share the potentials and opportunities I see while exploring how the symbols and archetypes are manifesting uniquely for each individual. Astrology is a wonderful tool for self-knowledge and a help in times of challenge or transition. It can facilitate tremendous insight and peace, as well as provide timelines for certain archetypal or energetic influences reflected in our lives and inner states of being. Consultations available for birth chart exploration, current influences, relationship dynamics, and timing for important events.

Sun in Sagittarius, Jupiter direct

With the Sun in Jupiter’s ♃ sign of Sagittarius ♐, and Jupiter being direct now, this large planet, representing faith, abundance and expansion, may be bringing something wonderful to you, or it may be too much of something, even if it’s a good thing (depends on where Jupiter is traveling through your chart). It can be necessary to practice having good boundaries or to set limits with Jupiter energy.

Mercury and Mars conjunct

For the last few days, Mercury and Mars have been traveling very close together in Sagittarius. This combination can inspire us to speak our truth boldly and assertively, which is important and freeing. But at the same time, be aware of the possibility of being too blunt, harsh, or reactive!

Astrological analysis

“Astrological analysis of any kind reveals potential, what could exist if backed by will and intention. A horoscope, i.e., natal or other chart, is a map of various possibilities and likelihoods latent within any individual or event that are triggered by assorted pressures and actions generated both from within and without. At every stage, every fork in the road, there is choice involved.” ~Stephen M. Smith

Moon in Cancer

The Moon is in cozy Cancer, the sign of home and hearth, through Thanksgiving day. A perfect time to be warm and secure, cooking and eating with family and close friends. A nurturing and nourishing Moon for this holiday of gratitude.

Void-of-Course Moon

The Moon makes a complete cycle through the twelve signs every 28.5 days and spends approximately 2.5 days in each sign. Every few days there is something called a Void-of-Course Moon that happens (today we have one from 4:56pm-8:14pm EST). A Void Moon lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. It is a great time to go inward or do routine things, as opposed to initiating new projects or meeting new people.

Excellent article about the Void-of-Course Moon

Mercury’s shadow

We also enter Mercury’s ☿ shadow today, which precedes its retrograde cycle 12/10-12/30. Ground covered from now until the end of December, in Mercury’s domain of communication and day-to-day business, may need to be reviewed or revised at some point in the future. So it’s a good idea to begin giving extra attention to being ultra clear and minding the details.

Jupiter and Venus direct

Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, and Venus, the goddess of love (the two “benefics”), turn direct on the same day! Friends of mine just reported that one of their chickens, after months of growth, finally laid a first egg today! A perfect symbol of being attuned with the energies that be! How are you experiencing this shift forward (after the deep inward time of reflection during the retrograde period)?
