The Balsamic Moon - time to let go

The Balsamic Moon - the very last phase before the New Moon. In the planting cycle this phase corresponds to the plant dying away; something comes to an end. Time to let go. At the same time you have already planted seeds and have a subtle perception of a new beginning to come, even though it has yet to take form....

Here comes the moon

Full Moon at 4:21p EST (29º Cancer)

“God’s gift I see that’s moving up there into the night
Though dark the mirror in the sky reflects us our light
Looks like a little brother to the sun
Or mother to the stars at night
And here it is and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon”
~George Harrison

What is coming to you or coming to light? The Full Moon gives vision & clarity.

The Moon is in Aries

The Moon is in Aries ♈, sign of the warrior and pioneer - sign of courageously asserting & exploring. As the Moon waxes to a First Quarter (Jan 12), it is the part of the cycle that suggests continued effort and action to clear a pathway towards manifesting the new vision related to the seed impulse released at the New Moon (Jan 4). All planets being direct support this growth and forward movement.

Today someone mentioned to me that she didn’t resonate with the feeling of all planets being direct as she was experiencing barriers towards moving forward...  A couple things come to mind in response to that - for one, this part of the lunar cycle (Waxing Crescent through First Quarter) does require strength and determination to overcome obstacles in order to grow and build whatever you are working on. The seed was planted at the New Moon, but now it has to germinate, sending shoots out into new territory etc, which can be a difficult process... The other thing to keep in mind is that the general transits in the sky do affect all of us, however the way in which they interact with our own charts are individual and primary.

New Moon in Sagittarius, Uranus direct

We have a New Moon (New cycle, new beginning. Take the initiative and plant a seed for something you want to grow) in Sagittarius ♐ (Supports optimism and expansive vision)! Also, Uranus ♅ is going direct after 5 months of being retrograde. There could be sudden changes, breakthroughs, and exciting paradigm shifts. Listen and watch for flashes of insight and embrace that which frees you to move forward on your path.

The New Moon is at 12:36pm EST and Uranus turns direct at 8:51pm EST... Discovering how the transiting planets are interacting with your own chart gives more specific information; for instance, with Uranus, what and where the changes and breakthroughs might look like...

Balsamic Moon

The current phase of the Moon is the Balsamic Moon, or the Waning Crescent ☾, after the last quarter and right before the New Moon (coming up on Dec 5). During the monthly cycle of the Moon, this phase is a good time for releasing or letting go of anything which has been fulfilled or has outlived its purpose, for tying up loose ends, and for quiet preparation for a new cycle to begin.

Full Moon

Full Moon at 12:27pm EST in 29 Taurus ♉. During the Full Moon, often something comes to light, comes to a head, or comes to fruition... The earthy sign of Taurus rules being instead of doing, enjoying nature, and the experience of your fives senses fully.
